Patna, March 24: Bihar’s director-general of police Abhayanand’s Super 30 centre today announced a list of 91 students who would appear for IIT-JEE on April 8. The names of the candidates have been made public to make the functioning of the coaching centres more transparent. “People raise questions on the list of candidates once the result of IIT-JEE is published. Last year, we announced the list pr-ior to the publication of results but this year we decided to announce it even before the examination,” Abhayanand said. He expressed hope that the results would be better than last year. In 2011, 34 out of 85 candidates made it to the IITs from his coaching centres across the country. “We have provided the list of all the six coaching centres being run across the country with the names of candidates and their addresses where they are given free residential coaching. Anyone can check the veracity of the list,” he added. These 91 students belonging to six groups being run under the academic guidance of Abhayanand. Under corporate social responsibility programme, companies like GAIL, Oil India Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India and Indraprastha Gas Ltd have been providing financial support, Abhayanand said. |
