Dolphin mascot for Police Games


PATNA: Bihar DGP Abhayanand along with four other DGs,Ashok Kumar Gupta, Manoje Nath, V Narayan and Shafi Alam on Friday released the mascot for the ensuing All India Police Games to be held from February 1 to 5, 2012, at Mithilesh Stadium here. The mascot for the games is 'dolphin', symbolizing its importance in the Gangetic region.
Speaking on the occasion, Abhayanand said that Bihar had been given a cluster of games, which include volleyball, handball, kabaddi and basketball, to be held during the ensuing 60th All India Police Games. "It is a proud moment for Bihar police to organize such a historic event," he said and added that it was after a lapse of 17 years that Bihar police had been given the responsibility of holding such an event. DG (home guards) Manoje Nath and other senior police officials expressed the hope that the meet would be a success.
