KANPUR: In the age of education-mafias and sky-rocketing education expenditures, comes a novel initiative! A city based educationist has come up

with good samaritan act by offering to meet a to z expenses of 35 students for IIT-JEE.

Mahesh Singh Chauhan, a prominent educationist has come forward with concept B-35 where B stands for Bhabha, the education group currently run by Chauhan and 35 is the number of students, they aim to teach and nurture for the prestigious engineering examination for IIT. Once selected for prestigious course, these children will not even have to pay any fees during their 4 years of B Tech. For four years, the cost of books, lodging and food of students will be beared by three supportive institutes of the Chauhan.

The source of inspiration of B-35 is Abhayanand, IPS officer from Bihar who runs Super-30 in Patna, a coaching centre for brilliant students from highly economically background and has been giving cent per results in IIT for past several years.

Talking to TOI, Mahesh Singh Chauhan said, "I will try to bring more students under his coaching programme later on. These 35 students will be selected after a test conducted on June 14 across several cities of UP- Lucknow, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Jhansi, Allahabad and Varanasi."

Annual income of the family not exceeding more than Rs 60 thousand has been kept the criteria for choosing students.
