याद आयेंगे कुछ कर दिखाने के हौसले वाले दिन..

याद रहेगा अमित से रोटियां छिपा कर खाना पटना : चिन्तामणि प्रसाद गया के पटवा टोली में रहता है। उसके पिता दीनदयाल प्रसाद बुनकर हैं। काम में उनकी पत्‍‌नी भी मदद करती है। छह बच्चों के अपने कुनबे को चलाने में दीनदयाल को जी तोड़ मेहनत करनी पड़ती है। लेकिन उनकी मेहनत रंग लाई और चिन्तामणि इस बार आईआईटी की परीक्षा में सफल हो गया। पटवा टोली के इस होनहार छात्र ने पहली बार अपने मुहल्ले पटवा टोली के एमडीएम स्कूल में दाखिला लिया। इसके बाद उसका नामांकन ब्राइट हाउस स्कूल में करा दिया गया। इस स्कूल में उसकी फीस माफ हो गई। जहानाबाद से उसने प्राइवेट छात्र के रूप में मैट्रिक की परीक्षा 87.6 फीसदी अंक से पास की। बाद में धनबाद से प्राइवेट छात्र के रूप में 12 वीं की परीक्षा दी और 89 फीसदी अंक प्राप्त किया। छह भाई बहनों में सबसे छोटा चिन्तामणि मगध सुपर-30 का किशोर कुमार था। चिन्ता को मगध सुपर -30 में अपने दोस्तों के साथ बिताये गये पल हमेशा याद रहेंगे। खासकर अमित से अपनी रोटियां बचाने के लिए लगाने वाली दौड़ को। अधिकारियों से मिलकर होता था गर्व : हमारे गांव जलालपुर में पुलिस का खौफ है। लोग आज भी पुलिस वालों को देखकर सहम जाते हैं। नक्सल प्रभावित इस गांव का विक्रम राज जब पहली बार अभयानंद व उनके अन्य आईपीएस दोस्तों से मिला तो काफी गौरवान्वित महसूस किया। मैट्रिक तक की पढ़ाई जलालपुर में ही की। उसके बाद गया कालेज में नामांकन कराया। चार भाई बहनों में सिर्फ उसकी दीदी ही बड़ी है। बाकी सब उससे छोटे हैं। सौभाग्य रहा कि सुपर-30 में चयनित हो गया। यहां अभयानंद सर व उनके मित्रों ने काफी मनोबल बढ़ाया। अब तो मेरे पिता को मुझपर काफी गर्व है। वे अदालत में अपने मित्रों से अक्सर मेरे संबंध में ही बातें करते हैं। 16 भटूरे खाकर बनाया रिकार्ड : निजी स्कूल के शिक्षक का पुत्र अमित कद-काठी में काफी तगड़ा है। गया जिले के लखीबाग का रहने वाले अमित के साथ उसके पड़ोस का सुमित आनंद भी मगध सुपर-30 में ही पढ़ता था। बताता है कि पंकज सर मुझे काफी मानते हैं। एक बार उनकी पत्‍‌नी हमारे यहां आई। उन्होंने सभी बच्चों के लिए छोला भटूरा बनाया। मैंने व सुमित ने खाना शुरु किया। सबसे पहले खाने बैठे थे और सब के खाकर उठ जाने के बाद तक लगातार खाते ही रहे। इस दौरान मैंने 16 भटूरे खाये। यह भी सुपर-30 के लिए एक रिकार्ड है। रोआं-रोआं ऋणी है समाज का : पथ निर्माण विभाग के दफ्तरी कमला प्रसाद सिंह का पुत्र कुणाल सुपर-30 के सफल छात्रों में एक है। छपरा का मूल निवासी उसका परिवार पिछले 25 साल से गया में ही रह रहा है। कुणाल बताता है कि उसकी दीदी भी गया कालेज की थर्ड टापर थी। इस वर्ष सीबीएसई की 12 वीं में 89.4 प्रतिशत अंक हासिल करने वाले कुणाल को सुपर-30 के नाम व अपने सीनियर्स से शुरु में थोड़ा डर लगा। लेकिन वहां के माहौल ने उसके डर को समाप्त कर दिया। कुणाल मानता है कि माता-पिता के बाद समाज ने उसके लिए बहुत किया। उसका रोआं-रोआं समाज का ऋणी है। कुणाल चाहता है कि जिस तरह अभयानंद सर ने समाज की मदद से मेरे जैसे लड़कों को जीवन में सफल बनाया। वैसा ही कुछ करने का मौका ईश्र्वर उसे भी दें। मेहनत करने में भी मजा आया : अनिल प्रसाद अपने घर में ही छोटी सी दुकान चलाते हैं। तीन बेटियां व एक बेटा है। बेटा सबसे छोटा है। नाम है अमित। जिसे मगध सुपर-30 में अमित-1 नाम दिया गया। पिछले साल 12वीं की परीक्षा पास की। आईआईटी की तैयारी में जुट गया। भौतिकी उसके मामा पढ़ाते थे, जबकि बाकी दोनों विषयों के लिए वह ट्यूशन पढ़ता। पिछली बार वह किसी भी इंजीनियरिंग की परीक्षा में सफल नहीं हुआ। इसी बीच सुपर-30 में उसका चयन हो गया। यहां माहौल ऐसा था कि मजा आता। कोर्स पूरा करने के लिए शिक्षकों ने भी जी-तोड़ मेहनत की। सो जाने के बाद अपने कोचिंग से शिक्षक लौटते और बच्चों को जगा कर रात दो बजे तक पढ़ाते। कोर्स पूरा करने के लिए एक दिन में छह घंटों तक क्लास लिया। इसके बाद टास्क देते। उसकी जांच करते। दोस्तों में भी रहती गहरी प्रतिस्पर्धा : भागलपुर में हिन्दी के शिक्षक रंजीत के पुत्र गौरव ने सुपर-30 की मदद से इस बार आईआईटी में प्रवेश हासिल किया है। बताता है कि मगध सुपर-30 के सभी बच्चों में अच्छी दोस्ती थी। लेकिन उनके बीच गहरी प्रतिस्पर्धा भी थी। गौरव बताता है कि पढ़ते तो सभी हैं, लेकिन आईआईटी में सफल होने के लिए आवश्यक है कि पढ़ाई की पूरी योजना तैयार की जाये। अभयानंद सर यही सिखाते। हमें बताते कि परीक्षा के 3 घंटों का हम किस तरह बेहतर ढंग से सदुपयोग करें। शिक्षकों के पढ़ाने के बाद भी वह कम से कम 10 घंटो स्वाध्याय में बिताता था। सब एक ही तरह सोचते थे : अविनाश के पिता जी भवनेश्र्वर शर्मा खेती करते हैं। जबकि उनकी मां प्रेम कुमारी सिंह गया मध्य विद्यालय की शिक्षिका हैं। उसका बड़ा भाई अभिषेक आईटी कंपनी में काम करता है। मगध सुपर-30 के विषय में बताता है कि वहां सभी बच्चों की सोच एक थी। कुणाल उसका सबसे अच्छा मित्र था, लेकिन चिन्तामणि व अमित बहुत अच्छा गाते हैं। अविनाश बताता है कि जब पढ़ते-पढ़ते थक जाते तो घर बंद कर इन दोनों से गाना सुनते।

समाज के सहयोग से पूरा हो सकता है हर सपना : Abhayanand

पटना, हमारे प्रतिनिधि : हमारे समाज की सबसे बड़ी समस्या अशिक्षा और बेरोजगारी है। दोनों समस्याओं पर समाज संगठित रूप से काबू पा सकता है। जरूरत है लोगों को सामूहिक प्रयास करने की। समाज के संगठित प्रयास से ही हर सपना को संभव किया जा सकता है। ये बातें मंगलवार को राजधानी के श्रीकृष्ण मेमोरियल हाल में आईआईटी परीक्षा में सफल छात्रों के सम्मान में आयोजित समारोह में सुपर 30 के संस्थापक अभयानंद ने कही। श्री अभयानंद ने कहा कि वर्ष 2002 में गरीब बच्चों को आईआईटी की तैयारी के लिए एक कदम बढ़ाया गया था। प्रथम वर्ष में सुपर थर्टी के बच्चों ने काफी अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया। इससे सुपर थर्टी के प्रयास को काफी प्रोत्साहन मिला। सुपर थर्टी ने वर्ष 2009 में मंजिल प्राप्त कर लिया और इसके बच्चे शत प्रतिशत सफल रहे। उन्होंने कहा कि सुपर थर्टी से प्रत्येक वर्ष मैने कुछ न कुछ सीखा। अनुभव के आधार पर ही इसका रिजल्ट प्रति वर्ष बेहतर होता गया। उन्होंने जोर दिया कि सुपर थर्टी को कोई कोचिंग न समझा जाये। इसका आधार गुरुकुल है, जहां बच्चे रहकर शिक्षा ग्रहण करते हैं। यहां पढ़ाने वाले शिक्षकों को पैसा नहीं दिया जाता। शिक्षक अपना समय निकालकर सुपर थर्टी के छात्रों को पढ़ाते हैं। यहां के बच्चे सुबह पांच बजे जग जाते हैं, वहीं रात में बारह बजे सोते हैं। सुपर थर्टी बच्चों को कनसेप्ट बताया जाता है। सुपर थर्टी एक ब्राण्ड है, जिसका पिछले वर्ष भौगोलिक रूप से विस्तार किया गया था। वर्तमान में सुपर 30 मगध, सुपर 30 नालंदा, सुपर 30 त्रिवेणी, सुपर 30 रहमानी, सुपर 30 अंग के नाम से चलाया जा रहा है। इन संस्थानों से इस वर्ष राज्य के 54 छात्र लाभान्वित हुए हैं। श्री अभयानंद ने अवकाश प्राप्त शिक्षकों से आह्वान किया कि वे अपना थोड़ा समय नयी पीढ़ी के छात्रों को दें। उन्होंने कहा कि शीघ्र ही सुपर 30 के संचालन में हुए खर्च घोषित कर दिये जायेंगे। इस अवसर पर आईआईटी परीक्षा में सफलता प्राप्त करने वाले छात्रों को सम्मानित किया गया। वहीं शिक्षकों को भी शाल भेंट कर सम्मानित किया गया। इस अवसर पर नवल कनोडिया, हजरत मौलाना वली रहमान, गीता, शोभा, नूतन आनंद, किशुन पासवान एवं योगेन्द्र राउत सहित कई लोगों ने अपना विचार व्यक्त किया।

हर बच्चा सक्षम तराशने की जरूरत : Abhayanand

सूबे का हर छात्र आईआईटी की प्रवेश परीक्षा में सफल हो सकता है। सिर्फ उन्हें थोड़ा तराशने की जरूरत है। बेहतर तकनीक, मजबूत इरादे व कड़ी मेहनत से सफलता कदम चूमती है। ऐसा मानना है सूबे के वरिष्ठ आईपीएस अधिकारी अभयानंद का। उन्होंने बताया कि सुपर-30 में गरीब तबके के अधिकांश छात्रों का चयन किया जाता है। सारे सामान्य छात्र होते हैं जिन्हें आठ माह के कड़े प्रशिक्षण में तराशने का काम किया जाता है। बच्चों को कुछ ऐसी तकनीक बतायी जाती है जिससे वे कठिन से कठिन से सवालों का हल सफलतापूर्वक कर लेते हैं। श्री अभयानंद ने कहा कि गरीब परिवार के मेधावी बच्चों के लिये आईआईटी तो दूर सामान्य इंजीनियरिंग कालेजों में दाखिला लेने की बात सपने से कम नहीं होता। सुपर-30 के माध्यम से उनके सपनों को छेड़ने की कोशिश की जाती है। उन्हें आईआईटी की तैयारी के गुर सिखाये जाते हैं और अंत में वे सफल भी होते हैं। अपने घर पर सफल छात्रों को दिये गये भोज के दौरान उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी यह संस्था पूरी तौर पर समाज से जुड़ी हुई है। वे बच्चों का चयन करते हैं। समाज के चिकित्सक, इंजीनियर, व्यापारी उनके रहने-भोजन की व्यवस्था करते हैं और कालेजों के वरिष्ठ शिक्षक उन्हें मुफ्त में पढ़ाते हैं। इस तरह समाज के गरीब बच्चे समाज के ही द्वारा आईआईटी के लिये तैयार किये जाते हैं। उनकी कोशिश है कि सूबे के हर क्षेत्रों से प्रत्येक वर्ष पांच सौ से अधिक बच्चों का चयन आईआईटी में करायें। इसके लिये भागलपुर, नालंदा, गया, पटना में केन्द्र बनाये गये हैं जबकि मुजफ्फरपुर, दरभंगा, सीतामढ़ी, बेगूसराय आदि शहरों में भी सुपर-30 के केन्द्र बनाने की योजना है। उनका मकसद ऐसे गरीब छात्रों को आईआईटी के लिये तैयार करना है जिन्हें दो जून की रोटी के लिये भी काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ती है। ऐसे परिवार के बच्चे जब इंजीनियर बनेंगे तो समाज का कल्याण हो सकेगा।

आर्थिक दबावों को चीर मनवाया लोहा

पटना, जागरण प्रतिनिधि : ग्रामीण इलाके के मेधावी छात्रों ने आर्थिक दबावों को चीर एक बार फिर सभी को अपनी प्रतिभा का लोहा मानने पर मजबूर कर दिया है। ये वे छात्र हैं जिनकी हैसियत किसी प्रतिष्ठित कोचिंग संस्थान के दरवाजे तक जाने की नहीं थी। एडीजी अभयानंद की दिखायी रोशनी में इन्होंने अपने लिये इंजीनियरिंग के सर्वाधिक प्रतिष्ठित संस्थान आईआईटी का दरवाजा खोल लिया है। सफल छात्रों में से अधिकांश को साल भर पहले सुपर थर्टी का पता तक नहीं था। जानकारी मिलने पर इन्होंने सुपर थर्टी के माध्यम से अपनी प्रतिभा आजमानी चाही और इसमें इन्हें शत प्रतिशत सफलता हासिल हुयी। इस पूरे सिलसिले में रोचक बात यह है कि एडीजी अभयानंद से इसी साल जुड़े रहमानिया फाउंडेशन के सभी दस अल्पसंख्यक छात्रों ने आईआईटी प्रवेश परीक्षा में अपना परचम लहराया है। बिहारशरीफ के मौलानाडीह के रहने वाले मोहम्मद के।आलम गांव में किराने की दुकान चलाते हैं। वे अपने बच्चों की शिक्षा को लेकर खासे सतर्क और उनके दो बच्चे पहले से ही इंजीनियरिंग के क्षेत्र में हैं। लेकिन अभी तक उनके गांव में किसी ने आईआईटी की परीक्षा में सफलता हासिल नहीं की थी। श्री आलम को अपने बेटे हसीब रजा पर फख्र है। उसने पूरे गांव का सपना पूरा कर दिया है। हसीब पांच भाई व तीन बहनों में वह सातवें स्थान पर है। दरभंगा के गरीब किसान परिवार के नकी इमाम ने कभी सपने भी आईआईटी में प्रवेश लेने की नहीं सोची थी। परंतु सुपर-30 के मार्गदर्शन में उसने यह मुकाम हासिल कर लिया है। गया में जूते की छोटी सी दुकान से परिवार की परवरिश करने वाले मो.रेयाजुद्दीन बेटे अकरम की सफलता से फूले नहीं समा रहे। सब्जीबाग के सादनान अनवर के पिता काफी पहले ही गुजर चुके थे। मां स्कूल में शिक्षिका हैं। किसी तरह उन्होंने अपने बच्चों को पढ़ाकर बड़ा किया था। उनके बेटे ने रहमानी सुपर-30 में दाखिला लिया और आज आईआईटी की परीक्षा में बेहतर स्थान लाकर सबको हैरत में डाल दिया। मोतिहारी के ढाका के रहने वाले अलीक अहमद ने भी आईआईटी में प्रवेश लेने वाले गांव के पहले छात्र का गौरव हासिल किया है। मोतिहारी से ही शाहबाज हैदर ने भी बाजी मारी है। विकलांग पिता की संतान साकिब मुस्तफा ने भी अपने पिता का नाम रोशन किया। रहमानी सुपर-30 के ही अलीशान मुस्तफा, मो.अवसार आलम एवं नजीम आलम ने भी आईआईटी परीक्षा में सफलता अर्जित की है। पिछले साल जुलाई में रहमानी इन्स्टीच्यूट की नींव रखने वाले मुंगेर खानकाह के पीर मौलाना वली रहमानी बच्चों की इस सफलता से खासे उत्सहित हैं। उन्होंने अपनी खुशी का इजहार करते हुए कहा कि इस सफलता में अभयानन्द जी के साथ-साथ तमाम शिक्षकों और रहमानी थर्टी से जुड़े तमाम लोगों का बड़ा योगदान है।

हाथ मिले तो बात बनी

पटना/गया, जागरण टीम : अगर समाज एकजुट हो तो क्या कुछ नहीं हो सकता। इसका जीता जागता प्रमाण है मगध सुपर-30। एक व्यक्ति की ऊंची व सच्ची सोच को समाज का सहयोग मिला, जिसने 14 विद्यार्थियों की जिन्दगी की दिशा ही बदल डाली। मगध सुपर-30 1977 बैच के आईपीएस अधिकारी अभयानंद का ब्रेन बेबी है। उन्होंने अपने इस विचार से इस संवाददाता को अवगत कराया। उन्होंने गया को अपनी प्रयोग भूमि के लिए चुना। पिछले साल 16 अगस्त को गया में मगध सुपर-30 की शुरूआत हुई। सेंट्रल बिहार चैंबर आफ कामर्स के पूर्व अध्यक्ष द्वय डा। कौशलेन्द्र प्रताप व डा. अनूप केडिया, समाजसेवी शिव राम डालमिया एवं लालजी प्रसाद मदद को आगे आये। शुरूआत में मगध के तत्कालीन डीआईजी प्रवीण वशिष्ठ ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। प्रवेश परीक्षा के लिए क्रेन मेमोरियल स्कूल के प्राचार्य फादर राज व मिर्जा गालिब कालेज के प्राचार्य डा. समदानी ने अपने विद्यालय परिसर को स्वेच्छा से इस्तेमाल को दिया। श्री डालमिया व वरिष्ठ चिकित्सक डा. ए.एन. राय ने भरोसा दिलाया कि बच्चों की शिक्षा में पैसा कभी बाधक नहीं बनेगा। स्वामी राघवाचार्य ने दंडीबाग मुहल्ले में बच्चों को रहने के लिए नि:शुल्क आवासीय परिसर उपलब्ध कराया। धीरे-धीरे मददगारों की संख्या बढ़ती गई। शुरुआत गीता कुमारी ने की। फिर राजू वर्णवाल, शिव अरुण डालमिया, राम अवतार धानुका, सुनील बरेलिया, धीरेन्द्र मुन्ना, हरि प्रसन्न उर्फ पप्पू, महारानी बस सर्विस के मुन्ना सिंह, एस.एस. भदानी, डा. अरविंद कुमार सिंह, अनिल स्वामी, गणेश सिंह, अजय कुमार शर्मा उर्फ युगल, नन्हे, डा. यू.एस. मिश्र, कमल नयन, श्याम भंडारी सहित कई मददगार सामने आये। वहीं विनय इंडेन सर्विस की मालकिन नीलम शरण ने रसोई गैस सिलेंडरों की आपूर्ति का जिम्मा उठाया। डा. ए.एन. राय, डा. पाण्डेय राजेश्र्वरी प्रसाद, डा. उमानाथ भदानी, डा. एस.एन. प्रसाद, डा. विजय जैन, डा. यशी शरण, डा. यू.एस. अरुण, डा. प्रमोद कुमार सिंह, डा. श्रीप्रकाश सिंह आदि ने एक-एक बच्चे पर आने वाले खर्च को वहन किया। बच्चों के लिए सप्ताह में कई प्रैक्टिस टेस्ट आयोजित किये गये। मगध सुपर 30 के बच्चों को रविवार को अपनी आंटी उषा डालमिया का इंतजार रहता था। आंटी उस दिन बच्चों के लिए ढेर सारी मिठाइयां लाती थीं। इन बच्चों के दिलों में अपनी प्यारी दीदी की यादें आज भी ताजा हैं। बच्चों की दीदी कोई और नहीं पटना की एसएसपी व गया की तत्कालीन एसपी आर.मल्लर विडि हैं। बात पिछले दिसम्बर की है। गया में शीतलहरी चल रही थी। बच्चे छात्रावास में भी सर्द हवाओं से परेशान थे। दीदी को इसकी भनक मिल गई। वे खुद बाजार गई, पालिथिन शीट ले छात्रावास पहुंची। इन बच्चों की सफलता के पीछे कई और लोगों की भूमिका को नकारा नहीं जा सकता है। मगध के तत्कालीन डीआईजी प्रवीण वशिष्ठ ने बच्चों को परीक्षा में सफलता प्राप्त करने के लिए गुरूमंत्र दिया। प्रमंडलीय आयुक्त डा. केपी रमैया व डीएम संजय कुमार सिंह ने भी कई बार बच्चों की हौसला अफजाई की। नवादा के तत्कालीन एसपी विनोद कुमार तथा चार आईपीएस दलजीत सिंह, सज्जु कुरूवेला, रंजीत मिश्र आदि ने दिसम्बर के आखिरी सप्ताह में अपना पूरा समय गया में इन बच्चों के साथ बिताया। 1995 बैच के आईपीएस रविन्द्रण शंकरण ने बच्चों को अध्यात्मिक व योग की शिक्षा दी।

स्थान-पटना का रहमानिया सुपर-30। तारीख-12 अप्रैल। समय-रात 8 बजे का। आई.आई.टी./जे.ई.ई. प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा देकर वापस लौटे सुपर-30 के छात्र आपस में चर्चा कर रहे थे। तभी विक्रम राज को किसी ने फोन किया। उसके चेहरे पर कई तरह के भाव एक साथ आ रहे थे। किसी अभिन्न का आमंत्रण है शायद। पर वह स्वीकारने की स्थिति में नहीं है। लंबे अर्से के लगाव और जुड़ाव को नकार रहा है। लगभग एक ही शब्द दुहरा रहा है- न बाउजी न हम न अइबो, हम पढ़वो। उसके जीवन के समक्ष एक निर्दिष्ट लक्ष्य है। जाहिर है, इसी लिए वह स्नेह, संबंध, अपनापन-सारे संवेदनात्मक भावो को अपने आप से दूर रखने का निर्णय ले चुका है। विक्रम गया के मगध सुपर-30 का एक छात्र है। फोन करने वाले और कोई नहीं उसके पिता हैं। बुला रहे थे। बारिश शुरू हो जायेगी। कुछ ही दिनों में, छप्पर छाना है। बांस काटने के लिए घर आ जाओ। पिता वैसे पेशे से अधिवक्ता हैं। प्रैक्टिस न के बराबर है। ऐसे में पिता की चिंता वाजिब है। पर विक्रम का नकारना भी वाजिब है। उसे जीवन में ऊपर उठने का एक सुनहरा अवसर मिला है। वह उसे खोना नहीं चाहता। विक्रम दलित समाज से आता है। ऊंचे सपने देखने का हकदार नहीं था। पर मगध सुपर-30 और आईपीएस अधिकारी अभयानंद ने उसे इस काबिल समझा है, चुना है और एक मंच दिया है संघर्ष करने और अपनी क्षमता दिखाने का, तो वह बीच रास्ते में किसी की पुकार क्यों सुने? विक्रम के साथ एक और दुर्भाग्य साथ है। उसका इलाका यानी ग्राम चौंगाई, प्रखंड बांकेबाजार नक्सल प्रभावित इलाका है। पुलिस दिन में भी वहां जाने से कतराती है। क्षेत्र में सुविधाएं नगण्य है। इलाके में प्रतिबंधित नक्सली संगठन भाकपा (माओवादी) का वर्चस्व है। या यूं कहें कि क्षेत्र नक्सलियों का कथित मुक्त क्षेत्र है। जहां बच्चे शिक्षा के नाम पर लाल सलाम व नक्सली साहित्य से जुड़ाव रखते हैं। ऐसे में इस नियति को ललकारने की ताकत सुपर-30 की चयन परीक्षा ने दी। विक्रम को मगध सुपर-30 के आवासीय रख-रखाव ने हौसला दिया। जब वह वहां आया था तो साथ में दवाओं की पोटली थी। श्री अभयानंद की धर्मपत्‍‌नी डा. नूतन के प्रयास से विक्रम स्वस्थ हो गया। पढ़ने लगा। आवासीय परिसर में विक्रम जब आया था तो अपने क्षेत्र में बचपन से लेकर युवा होने तक सामंतवाद की कई कहानियां सुन रखा था। यहां तो अमित सिंह, मृत्युंजय मिश्र और आकांक्षा जैसे छात्र-छात्राओं के साथ एक पंगत तो कई बार एक थाली में बैठकर भोजन करने का सुयोग पाया, तो आंखें दूर तक देखने लगी। सपनों का संसार पुतलियों पर बैठ गया। श्री अभयानंद के हाथों का स्पर्श कंधे पर मिला तो लगा, जीवन में प्रवाह आ गया है। बीमारी पीछे छूट गयी। लक्ष्य बस एक ही रह गया-आई.आई.टी./जे.ई.ई. से जुड़ी शैक्षणिक तैयारी। विक्रम राज अपने लक्ष्य में सफल हो चुका है। विक्रम आई.आई.टी. के एक्सटेंटेड मेरिट लिस्ट में शामिल है। विक्रम अपने इलाके यानि नक्सलियों के कथित मुक्त क्षेत्र के असंख्य दलित-महादलित पर मेधावी छात्रों के लिए आने वाले समय में एक आदर्श चरित्र बनेगा। यह तय है। तब एक और आदर्श समाज में अपना आकार गढ़ेगा। सामाजिक समरसता पैदा करने का, नक्सली गतिविधियों को रोकने का इससे कारगर उपाय और कुछ भी नहीं है।

भांजे ने मामा को भी दिलायी सफलता

पटना : भागलपुर के रहने वाले अनुनय अनुरव पांडेय स्वयं तो आईआईटी में 633 वां स्थान लाया ही अपने मामा को साथ-साथ आईआईटी प्रवेश परीक्षा में सफलता दिलाने में सफल रहा। अनुनय के नाना-नानी काफी पहले ही गुजर गये थे। उसके मामा सरदेंदू की परवरिश बहन-बहनोई ही कर रहे थे। दोनों में रिश्ता मामा-भांजे का है परंतु उम्र में कोई विशेष अंतर नहीं है। अनुनय ने पढ़ाई में थोड़ा पीछे चल रहे मामा को भी रात-दिन भौतिकी, गणित व रसायन का पाठ पढ़ाकर इस काबिल बना दिया। इस बाबत अनुनय पांडेय ने बताया कि उसके पिता लुधियाना के एक गारमेंट फैक्ट्री में काम करते हैं। मां हाउस वाइफ हैं। किसी तरह उसके पिता उसे व मामा को पढ़ाने का खर्च वहन कर रहे थे। भागलपुर में सुपर थर्टी की शाखा खुलने के बाद वे दोनों प्रवेश परीक्षा में सफल हो गये। वरिष्ठ आईपीएस अधिकारी अभयानंद के मार्गदर्शन में उनलोगों की पढ़ाई शुरू हो गई। परंतु बीच में ही शिक्षकों की कमी के कारण उनलोगों राजधानी के यूरेका इंस्टीट्यूट आफ साइंस में लाया गया। इस संस्थान के निदेशक डा.अजय कुमार ने उसके बाकि की पढ़ाई को पूरा किया। स्वयं अभयानंद प्रतिदिन आकर पांचों को पढ़ाते थे। अनुनय ने बताया कि भागलपुर के जिस मोहल्ले में वह रहता है वहां आईआईटी के नाम से भी अधिकांश लोग अपरिचित हैं। दोनों मामा-भांजा मोहल्ले का पहला छात्र है जिसने इस प्रवेश परीक्षा में सफलता पायी है। वहीं सरदेंदू ने बताया कि बचपन में ही उसके माता-पिता का साया सिर से उठ गया था। बहन-बहनोई ने पाल-पोस कर बड़ा किया और इस लायक बना दिया। मुंगेर के ही एक प्राध्यापक के बेटे विशाल भी अपने रिजल्ट से काफी खुश है। वह एक साधारण छात्र था परंतु मेहनत के बूते इस मुकाम तक पहुंचने में सफल रहा। मुंगेर में ही छोटे से हार्डवेयर दुकान चलाने वाले कपिलदेव प्रसाद की उतनी हैसियत नहीं थी कि वह अपने बेटे विवेक को महंगे कोचिंग संस्थान में दाखिला दिला सके। संयोगवश उसका बेटा सुपर थर्टी में चयनित हो गया और आईआईटी जेईई में सफल रहा। उसे आल इंडिया में 3724 रैंक आया है। बांका के ही ज्ञानेश शरण ने इस परीक्षा में सफलता के पीछे कठिन परिश्रम एवं उचित मार्गदर्शन को माना है।

Patna, March 31 (IANS) Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) aspirants across Bihar Tuesday offered prayers for the wellbeing of senior police officer Abhyanand, involved with Super 30 - an initiative which selects a group of 30 aspirants for the prestigious institutes from poor and marginalised families and provides free coaching, food and accommodation.Abhyanand, an additional director general of police, who coached such students, suddenly fell seriously ill after he arrived to conduct a test for selection of Super 30 students here.
“Minutes before a test for selection of students for Super 30 was to be began, Abhyanand fell ill and was rushed to a private nursing home, where doctors detected a stone in his gall bladder and operated on him,” a family friend said.
“This news spread like wildfire across Bihar and outside, and students, their parents, teachers and others offered prayers at different places of worship and at their residences and offices for wellbeing of Abhyanand Sir, as he is popularly known here,” said Arshad Ahmad, a Super 30 aspirant.
Hundreds of students and their parents had come to the test centre and were shocked after news of Abhyanand’s illness reached them. However, they were told that Abhyanand, before being admitted to the hospital, advised them to take the test as scheduled.
Abhyanand, who launched Super 30 along with mathematician Anand Kumar in 2003, had started another experiment to spot talented students, particularly from marginalised sections and Muslim students from poor families and to help them crack the IIT entrance examination, on the lines of Super 30.
As many as 18 of Super 30’s students cracked the IIT entrance in 2003. The number rose to 22 in 2004 and 26 in 2005. This year, all 30 students had cleared the entrance.

नये सिद्धांत प्रतिपादित करें युवा : अभयानंद

पटना पिछले ढाई तीन दशकों से विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में कोई नई महत्वपूर्ण खोज नहीं हुई है। हम विज्ञान के पुराने प्रतिपादित सिद्धांतों की मदद से मानव कल्याण में जुटे हैं। आज आवश्यकता इस बात की है कि विज्ञान व तकनीक से जुड़े युवा विद्यार्थी कुछ नये सिद्धांत को प्रतिपादित करने का प्रयास करें। यह सुझाव बीएमपी के एडीजी अभयानंद ने दिया। वे रविवार को बीआईटी मेसरा की पटना इकाई में आयोजित वार्षिक तकनीकी उत्सव टेक्निका 09 के उद्घाटन सत्र को संबोधित कर रहे थे।
श्री अभयानंद ने कहा कि आज आवश्यकता इस बात की है कि युवा विज्ञान व तकनीकी शिक्षा के मूलभूत सिद्धांतों को आंख मूंद कर मानने की बजाय उसके संबंध में प्रश्न पूछें। इससे ही कुछ नई बात निकल कर आयेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे शिक्षक समाज से प्रभावित होते हैं। इसलिए उन्हें चाहिये कि वे समाज की बेहतरी के लिए भी प्रयास करें। मौके पर बिहार इलेक्ट्रिसिटी रेग्यूलेटरी कमीशन के अध्यक्ष बी.के.हलधर ने कहा कि आज शिक्षकों की कमी हर शिक्षण संस्थान में है। एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार आईआईटी में भी करीब 33 प्रतिशत शिक्षकों की कमी है। इसी से बीआईटी भी प्रभावित है। शिक्षकों की कमी की भरपाई के लिए उच्च तकनीक व बेहतर पुस्तकालय की उपलब्धता को उन्होंने आवश्यक बताया। उन्होंने सुझाव दिया कि संस्थान के छात्रों को लैपटाप उपलब्ध कराया जायेो लैपटीन शोध व अन्य संस्थानों में होने वाले लेक्चरों को सर्वर में सेव किया जाये। जिससे छात्र जब चाहें उसका इस्तेमाल कर सकें। छात्रों की सुविधा के लिए यहां के पुस्तकालय को सुबह 10 बजे से रात 10 बजे तक खोला जाये। जिससे यहां के छात्र इसका अधिकतम इस्तेमाल कर सकें। उन्होंने कहा कि बीआईटी की पटना में शाखा खुलने से प्रदेश की जनता का वर्षो पुराना सपना साकार हुआ है।
इससे पूर्व बीआईटी पटना के निदेशक प्रो.बी.एन.गिरि ने कालेज की शैक्षणिक उपलब्धियों पर चर्चा की। उन्होंने अपने छात्रों द्वारा विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में जीते गये पुरस्कारों की चर्चा करने के साथ-साथ यहां के फैकेल्टी के संबंध में भी जानकारी दी। प्रो. गिरि ने कहा कि अभी संस्थान की शुरुआत हुई है, लेकिन भरोसा दिलाया कि भविष्य में बीआईटी मेसरा की पटना इकाई भी अपना मुकाम हासिल कर लेगी। मौके पर बीआईटी मेसरा के बोर्ड आफ गवर्नर के सदस्य व बिहार के पूर्व मुख्य अभियंता प्रो.जी.पी.लाल, कार्यक्रम के संयोजक एस.एम.सहाय आदि मौजूद थे। इस अवसर पर उत्सव की पत्रिका का विमोचन भी किया गया।
दो दिवसीय वार्षिक तकनीकी उत्सव के पहले दिन रविवार को रोबोट का महासंग्राम, क्विज व रंगारंग सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया। प्रतियोगिता के दौरान 15 एकल व सामूहिक प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया जायेगा। सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम में लोकनृत्य, नाट्यकला, हास्य प्रतियोगिता, राक शो जैसे कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया। रविवार को सुपर माडल प्रतियोगिता का पहला पुरस्कार बीआईटी मेसरा, पटना के गिरीश नायक व कुमार पुरुषोत्तम की टीम ने जीता। दूसरा पुरस्कार इसी कालेज के पवन, राहुल, सुमित व रंजन द्वारा बनाये गये माडल को दिया गया। जबकि तीसरा पुरस्कार अंकित, नीतीश, निशांत व आकाश के माडल को दिया गया। आई-माडल प्रतियोगिता में केवल दो ही पुरस्कार दिये गये। पहला पुरस्कार 2008 बैच के अभिनव कृष्ण, शांक व अभिषेक की टीम को मिला, जबकि दूसरा पुरस्कार 2006 बैच के अंशु व आलोक की टीम ने जीता। दोनों टीमें बीआईटी पटना इकाई की हैं। आई-क्वेस्ट प्रतियोगिता का पहला पुरस्कार उत्सव चटर्जी, मृत्युंजय कुमार को, द्वितीय पुरस्कार वाजपेयी प्रतीक व राहुल कुमार को तथा तीसरा पुरस्कार एस।अहमद व मनीष कुमार झा की टीम को मिला। ओपन स्पेश में पहला पुरस्कार प्रशांत सौरभ, पंकज चौधरी व प्रशांत यादव की टीम को, द्वितीय पुरस्कार बजरंग कुमार व राहुल कुमार की टीम को तथा तृतीय पुरस्कार संदीप सौरभ व अजीत कुमार की टीम को मिला। रोबोटिक्स में पहला पुरस्कार एनआईटी पटना की टीम ने झटक लिया। इसमें प्रभाकर कुमार, कुमार विभीर, सौरभ गांधी व जितेन्द्र कुमार की टीम ने जीता। दूसरा व तीसरा पुरस्कार बीआईटी मेसरा की टीम ने जीता। दूसरा पुरस्कार जीतने वाली टीम में नवनीत, देवांग व चेतन शामिल थे। जबकि तीसरा पुरस्कार सौरभ, रवि प्रकाश व सुमित कुमार की टीम ने जीता। बाकी प्रतियोगिताओं के विजेताओं की घोषणा सोमवार को की जायेगी। इन प्रतियोगिताओं में आईआईटी, एनआईटी, साइंस कालेज, पटना वीमेंस कालेज के अतिरिक्त देश के विभिन्न तकनीकी कालेजों के छात्र शामिल हुए। तकनीकी सत्र के अतिरिक्त बीआईटी पूर्ववर्ती छात्रों का मिलन समारोह भी आयोजित किया गया।

PATNA: It was a day full of fun and frolic both for the present day students as well as the alumni of Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Patna
here on Sunday. The occasion was provided by its first technical festival Technika, 2009-cum-Alumni Meet. Inaugurating the meet, Bihar State Electricity Regulatory Commission chairman B K Halder appreciated the quick pace of infrastructural development of BIT Patna and stressed the need of e-teaching. He also pleaded for creating a common pool of knowledge so that quality technical education could be imparted to the budding technocrats all over India.

Bihar Military Police (BMP) additional director general Abhyanand, who was the guest of honour, inspired students by defining technology as a tool for the betterment of humanity. He said that they should not become only engineers, but humanitarians, too. He advised the faculty members to extract maximum output from the students and also encouraged them to improve education at the grassroot level.

Institute director B N Giri presented the annual report highlighting the overall achievements of BIT Patna. Governing body member G P Lal and member and Technika convener S M Sahay also addressed the students. A souvenir was also released on the occasion. In different competitions organized on the first day of the festival, the winners included Girish Nayak and Kumar Paritosh (super model of hovercraft), Abhinav Krishna, Shaank and Abhishek (I-mobile), Utsav Chatterjee and Mrityunjay Kumar (I-quest), Prashant Saurabh, Pankaj Chaudhary and Prashant Yadav (open space) and Prabhakar Kumar, Kumar Vibir, Saurabh Gandhi and Jitendra Kumar (robotics). Various cultural programmes, including folk dances from different regions of India, dramatics and laughter show were organized by the students.

बाढ़ शिक्षा हर परिस्थिति में व्यक्ति की रक्षा करने में सक्षम है। धनहीनता की हालात में यह विकल्प के रूप में आपका मार्गदर्शन करेगा। उक्त बातें अपर पुलिस महानिदेशक अभयानंद ने सोमवार को लार्ड बुद्धा गुरुकुल विद्यालय के उद्घाटन के बाद बतौर मुख्य अतिथि पद से संबोधित करते हुए कहा। उन्होंने कहा शिक्षा से वंचित व्यक्ति अपने बच्चे को अच्छी शिक्षा देने के लिए तत्पर रहता है। इसके लिए आवश्यक है कि ऐसे वातावरण का निर्माण हो जिससे बच्चों में शिक्षा स्वत: प्रस्फुटित हो जाए। भगवान ने मस्तिष्क में ज्ञान का इतना भंडार दिया है जिसके सही विकास की जरूरत है। इसके लिए अभिभावकों को भी अपने कर्तव्य के प्रति जागरूक रहना चाहिए। प्रयास प्रयोग की जननी है इसलिए अपने बच्चे की शिक्षा के प्रति सजग रहें। समारोह की अध्यक्षता प्राचार्य डा. सुभाष चन्द्र सिंह तथा संचालन हेमन्त कुमार ने किया। इस अवसर पर प्रो. साधुशरण सिंह, नवल किशोर प्रसाद सिंह, प्रसुन कुमार, बालमुकुन्द शर्मा, प्रो. साधुशरण सिंह 'सुमन', रामनरेश सिंह सहित कई लोग मौजूद थे।

Don't wait, innovate. The Bihar Military Police (BMP), a paramilitary force of the state, has done exactly that by transforming a two-decade-old derelict command hospital at Patna into a modern medical unit.
Earlier, the four government doctors at the hospital had little work because few BMP personnel visited them for treatment.
With more than one authority in charge of the hospital, healthcare took a backseat. The BMP, to which the hospital was entrusted, had no funds to run it while the Health Department had shrugged off any responsibility after deploying staff.
The BMP, however, desperately needed this hospital because healthcare was just too costly elsewhere. But they also knew that making the government allot funds for the hospital was not going to be easy. So they decided to improve the hospital themselves. We pooled in Rs 6 lakh from our salaries to renovate it with state-of the-art facilities, says Upendra Prasad Singh of the Bihar Policemen's Association.
The refurbished hospital was symbolically inaugurated on June 16, 2008 by a sweeper, Ganesh Ram. Now the hospital provides subsidised treatment to the family members of police personnel as well. In fact, it was additional director-general of police Abhayanand who floated the idea of renovating the hospital. They have turned it around and have been maintaining it with care, says Abhayanand. Even the general ward, with 17 beds, is air-conditioned now.
Like all success stories, this too appeared impossible till a beginning was made. Help came pouring in, however, once the BMP took the initiative.
Impressed, many organisations chipped in to provide new beds, an ultrasound scanner, electrocardiogram machine and X-ray device besides surgical equipment while a nationalised bank sponsored the operation theatre. Now, acclaimed doctors like orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Amaulya Kumar Singh, pay free weekly visits to the hospital, which now attends to almost 100 patients every day, including 16,000 BMP personnel and families of policemen posted in neighbouring states.
The hospital now boasts of a sparkling mosaic floor and nine air-conditioners. Bihar's policemen have begun to heal themselves.

डालमियानगर (रोहतास) बीएमपी (दो) के चांदीमारी प्वाइंट पर आयोजित तीन दिवसीय बिहार राज्य शूटिंग प्रतियोगिता बुधवार को सम्पन्न हो गयी। समापन समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि एडीजी (सैन्य पुलिस) अभ्यानंद ने प्रतिभागियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि ऐसी प्रतियोगिताएं समय-समय पर जिला व राज्य स्तर पर की जानी चाहिए। यहां के समादेष्टा ने कम समय में शूटिंग प्रतियोगिता का बेहतर आयोजन कराया है। इसके लिए वे बधाई के पात्र है। इस तरह प्रतियोगिता से जवानों में निखार आता है। प्रतियोगिता में सफल प्रतियोगियों को शील्ड प्रदान किया। शूटिंग का प्रथम पुरस्कार सैन्य पुलिस प्रक्षेत्र (739 प्वाइंट) को तथा द्वितीय मुजफ्फरपुर और पटना प्रक्षेत्र को संयुक्त रूप से दिया गया। वहीं पिस्टल व रिवाल्वर में 460 प्वाइंट पाने वाले सैन्य पुलिस प्रक्षेत्र को प्रथम तथा पटना प्रक्षेत्र को उप विजेता का शील्ड प्रदान किया गया। इसी के लिए हवलदार दीनानाथ राम को व्यक्तिगत स्पद्र्धा का शील्ड देकर सम्मानित किया गया। राइफल शूटिंग में 279 प्वाइंट हासिल किये सैन्य पुलिस प्रक्षेत्र को प्रथम तथा मुजफ्फरपुर प्रक्षेत्र को उप विजेता का शील्ड दिया गया। समापन की घोषणा समादेष्टा एस.के. सिन्हा ने की।

पटना आज मीडिया का दायरा काफी बढ़ा है। साथ ही उसकी जिम्मेदारियां भी। मीडिया को इस बात का ध्यान रखना चाहिये कि केवल फैक्ट ही जनता तक पहुंचे। उसमें व्यूज का समावेश न हो। पाठक को यह छूट मिलनी चाहिये कि वह सार संदर्भ खुद निकाले। यह विचार चर्चित पुलिस अधिकारी अभयानंद ने व्यक्त की। वे मंगलवार को स्थानीय तारामंडल सभागार में सिम्बायोसिस इंस्टीच्यूट आफ मीडिया एंड कम्युनिकेशन (एसआईएमसी)की तरफ से आयोजित कार्यक्रम फुटप्रिंट 08 को संबोधित कर रहे थे।
अभयानंद ने कहा कि एक जमाना वह भी था, जब खबरें आम लोगों तक छन कर पहुंचा करती थी। बीच में सेंसरशिप का भी दौर आया। लेकिन उस समय सूचनाओं के लिए जद्दोजहद नहीं थी। बाद में पब्लिक फिगर के न चाहते हुए भी खबरें लोगों तक पहुंचने लगीं। अब आम लोगों में भी फैक्ट जानने की चाह जगी है। जिससे मीडिया का रोल भी बढ़ा है। लेकिन मीडिया को हमेशा अपनी शक्ति का सकारात्मक पक्ष ही सामने लाना चाहिये।
इससे पूर्व कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन करते हुए राज्य सरकार के मंत्री डा. अनिल कुमार ने कहा कि बिहार बंटवारे के बाद भी हमारे मेधा का बंटवारा नहीं हुआ। पत्रकारिता की पढ़ाई के क्षेत्र में भले ही बिहार अभी पिछड़ा है, लेकिन यहां की प्रतिभाओं ने पूरे देश में पत्रकारिता के क्षेत्र में झंडा बुलंद किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि सामाजिक, आर्थिक परिवर्तन का वायस मीडिया ही बनता है। तकनीकी शिक्षा के विकास व बिहारी छात्रों के पलायन को रोकने के लिए पिछले तीन वर्षो में बिहार सरकार के प्रयासों से निजी व सरकारी क्षेत्र के एक दर्जन इंजीनियरिंग कालेज खुले हैं। जबकि शासन संभालने से पूर्व यहां मात्र दो इंजीनियरिंग कालेज ही थे। डा. कुमार ने एसआईएमसी से बिहार में पत्रकारिता की पढ़ाई शुरु करने के लिए संस्थान खोलने की अपील की।
इससे पूर्व एसआईएमसी के डीन प्रो.उज्जवल चौधरी ने अतिथियों का स्वागत करते हुए समय के साथ मीडिया की बदलती भूमिका पर चर्चा की। श्री चौधरी ने महाराष्ट्र में चल रहे क्षेत्रवादी आंदोलन की तीव्र निंदा करते हुए बताया कि उनकी संस्थान में पढ़ने वाले हर बिहारी छात्र की सुरक्षा के पुख्ता इंतजाम किये गये हैं। मौके पर भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी व फिल्म निर्देशक त्रिपुरारी शरण, अनिल सुलभ, विज्ञापन जगत के खुर्शीद आलम आदि ने भी अपने विचार व्यक्त किये। कार्यक्रम के सफल आयोजन के लिए सुमित, अहिंसा, प्रिया, अर्चना, तनुश्री, तान्या, राहुल आदि को सम्मानित किया गया।

मोकामा, प्रतिनिधि : अगर समर्पण व लगन से मंजिल पाने को ठान लें तो सफलता अवश्य मिलेगी। यह बातें रविवार को मोकामा स्थित श्री कृष्ण मारवाड़ी+2 विद्यालय में छात्र-शिक्षक संवाद गोष्ठी को संबोधित करते हुए एडीजी अभ्यानंद ने कही। गोष्ठी की अध्यक्षता सेवानिवृत्त प्राचार्य शिवनन्दन सिंह ने की। खचाखच भरे शिक्षा प्रेमियों को एक शिक्षक की भूमिका में अभयानंद ने कहा कि हर छात्रों को अपनी मंजिल खुद तय करनी पड़ती है। शिक्षक सिर्फ मार्गदर्शक बनकर प्रेरित करते हैं। हां दोनों के बीच समन्वय में कुछ पाने व कुछ देने का ललक जरूरत निहित होनी चाहिये। बीच-बीच में एडीजी ब्लैकबोर्ड पर प्रश्नों के उत्तर भी हल करते रहे। वहीं व्याख्यान का क्रम भी चलता रहा। मौके पर एसडीओ नौसाद यूसुफ, एएसपी सुजीत कुमार आदि भी उपस्थित थे।

A foreign filmmaker who was following the progress of the students in Super 30, an institute that coaches underprivileged students for IIT, made a telling observation. How was it, he asked, that students at the institute help each other out as if they were collaborators instead of the competitors that they were.
In his question lay the answer to the institute’s success.
Making a group work towards a common goal is the most basic leadership process taught and practiced all over the world. What makes the process at Super 30 different is the fact that here the members of the group are not working towards a common cause. In fact, individually they are pitted against each other. If one of them qualifies in the IIT JEE, it cuts into the chances of others. Yet, anyone visiting the institute will observe how readily the students help each other.
I call this phenomenon ‘collaboration vs competition’. This is a managerial feat in which there is an attempt to create a sense of unison in a mutually competitive group. A normal coaching class that teaches a large number of students after charging a hefty package creates an array of competitors. Super 30, on the other hand, creates avid collaborators for free.

One day one of the Super 30 students came to me in one of my informal sessions with them. He had a seemingly difficult electrostatic problem, taken from a popular competitive magazine in physics. Instead of solving the problem for him, I shot back a few questions. The student went into a ‘thought-shell’. When he emerged from the shell, glee was writ large on his face. He had seen the problem through. The style of teaching at Super 30 is not to solve the problems of the students but only to help them solve these themselves. My definition of a good teacher is one who doesn’t give answers but keeps asking the right questions, thereby helping the students to get to their own answers.
After the results were announced and the students were ecstatically exchanging sweets, a pressman asked one of the students as to what he thought was so unique about the teaching process of Super 30. The student did not waste a moment to say that the teachers make the students think for themselves.
Preparing for and appearing in the IIT JEE examination is, by all accounts, a very testing and painful process, both for the students as well as their parents and peer group. If this pain needs to be minimised, then the principle of ‘anaesthetisation’ has to be applied. At Super 30, we hold a very large number of tests under simulated conditions. The tests are so frequent that the students don’t get time to even groan under its pressure. Their mind is steeled. Their attitude and temperament gets conditioned to success. The thought of failure vanishes. The process is so designed that the student’s performance peaks on D-day.
A class test was being held. One of the problems in physics related to a carpet. A student quipped, “What is a carpet?” This may sound ridiculous to some. One must understand that most of the students at Super 30 come from a rural background. They do not understand words in English except those used regularly in science and mathematics. At Super 30 we help them to get over the inferiority feeling that often tends to assail them, and excel in the abilities they have. We have noticed that they manage to cover up their deficiencies during their stay in the IIT.
Giving back to society is what we try to inculcate in the students of Super 30. We are happy to note that a lot of them are trying to live up to this. It is slightly early to expect a wholesome return at this stage of their career. I just hope that they are able to live up to the expectations of the society that has given them whatever they have.

Super 30 multiplies to districts

PATNA, OCTOBER 20 : After disassociating himself from the original Super 30, Bihar Military Police (BMP) Additional Director General of Police Abhayanand is taking the concept even further.

Now, the ADGP has involved former Bihar Legislative Council member Maulana Wali Rehmani to start a “Rehmani Super 30” at Patna; businessmen, doctors and engineers to start a “Magadh Super 30” at Gaya; an “Ang Super 30” at Bhagalpur; and a “Nalanda Super 30” at Biharsharif.

With the sixth batch of students trained by him and mathematician Anand Kumar as part of Super 30 in Patna all clearing this year's IIT-JEE exams, Abhayanand had bid the project goodbye. Saying he had nothing more to prove at the centre, he had said that he wanted to take the experiment in "social laboratory" to other marginalised groups.

The first stop was the almost defunct hospital of the Bihar Military Police, which this police officer-cum-physics teacher revived with the help of the constabulary. And now, he is ready to start more Super 30s.

At Biharsharif, Arvind Kumar, who runs a school, has volunteered to support “Nalanda Super 30” along with some doctors; while two retired professors of Bhagalpur College of Engineering have been teaching mathematics and physics at “Ang Super 30”.

Though the groups are called “Super 30”, the numbers have been far less until now. They are to be chosen only after they clear the required standards, says the ADGP.

गणित ओलंपियाड के लिए पांच दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण आरंभ

पटना बिहार के मेधावी स्कूली बच्चों में गणित ओलंपियाड को ले दिलचस्पी का अंदाजा इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि इसके लिए बोर्ड कालोनी स्थित डीएवी स्कूल में शनिवार से आरंभ हुए पांच दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के पहले ही दिन सवा सौ बच्चे पहुंचे। काफी उत्सुकता के साथ कक्षा नौवीं से बारहवीं तक के बच्चों ने इस प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम में हिस्सा लिया। इस प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम की खासियत यह है कि इंडियन इंस्टीच्यूट आफ साइंस, बंगलोर से आए विशेषज्ञ वेंकटचल तथा पूणे विश्वविद्यालय के विशेषज्ञ वी बी आचार्य ने उत्सुक बच्चों को गणित की गुत्थी सुलझाने के ट्रिक बताए। पांच दिनों तक चलने वाले इस आयोजन में कई तरह की प्रतिभा जांच भी होगी। एडीजी अभयानंद भी इस मौके पर स्कूली छात्रों के बीच विशेष रूप से मौजूद थे।

सुपर थर्टी की प्रवेश परीक्षा में पहुंचे एडीजी अभयानंद

बिहारशरीफ स्थानीय आरपीएस स्कूल कचहरी रोड में नालंदा सुपर 30 की प्रवेश परीक्षा शांतिपूर्ण ढंग से सम्पन्न हुई। इस परीक्षा में लगभग एक हजार छात्र-छात्राओं ने भाग लिया। खासकर इस परीक्षा में काफी संख्या में लड़कियां शामिल हुई, जो नालंदा के लिए गौरव की बात है। लड़कियां भी आईआईटी, जे.ई.ई. में काफी रुचि दिखा रही हैं। परीक्षा में अभयानंद काफी देर तक परीक्षा हाल में उपस्थित रहे। इस परीक्षा में 60 वीक्षक तैनात थे। परीक्षा के बाद अभयानंद ने नालंदा सुपर 30 के चयनित बच्चों को पढ़ाने वाले विभिन्न विषयों के शिक्षकों के साथ बैठक की और छात्रों को आई.आई.टी., जे.ई.ई. में सफल होने के कई गुर बताये। साथ ही शिक्षकों का मार्गदर्शन भी किया। इस परीक्षा में नालंदा सुपर-30 की कार्यकारिणी कमेटी के सभी सदस्यों आरपीएस के अरविंद कुमार के अलावा डीपीएस राजगीर के शैलेन्द्र कुमार ने सक्रिय भूमिका निभायी। परीक्षा सम्पन्न होने के बाद कई छात्र-छात्राओं ने खुशी व्यक्त की। उन्होंने कहा कि परीक्षा में अच्छे-अच्छे प्रश्न पूछे गये थे और परीक्षा उनके लिए काफी संतोषजनक रहा। इस परीक्षा में पूरे जिले के ग्रामीण और शहरी क्षेत्रों के हर वर्ग के विद्यार्थी शामिल हुए। उत्तर पुस्तिकाओं का मूल्यांकन अभयानंद की देखरेख में सम्पन्न होगा। परीक्षा का परिणाम 20 तक घोषित किया जायेगा। चयनित बच्चों के वर्ग का संचालन गणित विषय में मो. शमी, भौतिकी अरुण कुमार मेहता और रसायन में डा. रंजीत कुमार सिन्हा करेंगे। साथ ही आई.आई.टी. खड़गपुर के दो शिक्षक और स्वयं श्री अभयानंद बच्चों को दिशा-निर्देश देंगे एवं क्लास लेंगे।

Magadh Super-30 classes to begin Aug 16

GAYA: With the holding of selection test and finalization of the venue, the roadmap for the Magadh chapter of Super 30, the exercise aimed at conducting talent hunt and grooming hidden talent to crack the IITJEE is ready and as per schedule, the first batch would be kicked off on August 16, 2008. The selection test was held on July 27, 2008 at two different centres in Gaya town. Nearly 1,500 IIT aspirants took the test held at M G College, Gaya and Creane Memorial School centres. The process of evaluation of answersheets of those who took the test has already begun and the exercise is likely to be completed in a week. Super 30 architect Abhayanand has briefed the evaluators about the somewhat complex mechanism to identify talent as aggregate marks alone do not reflect talent. The potential of the candidates has to be analysed from different angles including their approach and capacity to apply their mind. Application of knowledge for problem solving exercises is more important than knowledge per se as the IITJEE exams do not test knowledge of the aspirants alone. A minimum acceptability level has been fixed and if fewer students cross the barrier, the actual intake may be on the lower side of the 30 proposed. Besides scanning the book knowledge of the aspirants, the evaluators have been briefed to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the individual aspirants so that the strong points are given a fillip and efforts are made to overcome individual shortcomings. While briefing the teachers about the study format, Abhayanand advised the teachers to prepare the format in such a way that the confidence level of the aspirants gets a boost at the initial level itself and the "I can do it" feeling is ignited in the aspirants. On account of pressure, mood swings have been observed among the competitors and for that reason, proper counselling is required. Guardians have to be kept away from the study centre and they will not be allowed entry once the programme begins. Explaining the reasons behind the decision to insulate the aspirants from the guardians and other family members, Abhayanand said that as per his observations, guardians tend to transfer their anxieties and apprehensions among the students, which in turn proves to be counter productive. Once admitted, the students will be handed back to the guardians only after IIT examinations to be held on the second Sunday of April, 2009. Gaya chapter of IMA, Central Bihar Chamber of Commerce and G-11, a group of local business leaders have come forward to jointly meet the expenditure of the Magadh Super 30 mission. Brij Bihari (chemistry), B N Singh (physics), Masroor Ahmed (physics) and Pramod Kumar (mathematics) have offered free coaching service to the Magadh Super 30 students. Mission coordinator Geeta Kumari and business leader Anup Kedia would be looking after the nitty gritties of the Magadh Super 30 exercise.

भागलपुर में अंग सुपर थर्टी का शुभारंभ 30 से

Abhayanand Presents "Magadh Super 30" in GAYA

GAYA: The efforts of the ADGP Abhayanand to expand the Super-30 base and come out with the Magadh version of the Super-30, evoked an impressive response in the division with about 1,500 students possessing the IIT eligibility criteria of having at least 60 per cent marks at the senior secondary level took the selection test held at two different centres in Gaya town. The tests were held at Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya and Creane Memorial School centres. Whereas M G College is a linguistic minority college, Creane Memorial School is run by Christian missionaries. Super-30 patron Abhayanand was present in the town to monitor the selection test. He also gave vital tips to the prospective teachers of the Magadh chapter of the Super-30. The spade work for the launching of the Magadh Super-30 has already been done under the leadership of Geeta Kumari, a retired educationist who has accepted to the request to work as the coordinator of the Super-30. Boarding arrangements for the Super-30 students have been made and they would be put up in the Dandibagh locality of the town. The Central Bihar Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) and individual philanthropists have volunteered to meet the expenditure including the cost of study material provided to the selected students. Free food and lodging would be provided to the selected IIT aspirants. The selected students will have to stay in the Super-30 hostel mandatory even if they hail from Gaya town as group study is regarded very helpful, rather essential to crack the test. Asked about the response to the earlier test conducted exclusively for minority students, Abhayanand said that some very talented students have been identified and the quality is much better than his (Abhayanand's) expectations. Abhayanand revealed that a sizeable number of students who have done very well at the minority student test belong to Gaya. In terms of number, the response of the Gaya students at the minority students test was not very impressive but quality-wise, it is very good, he said.

गया। मगध के प्रतिभावान छात्रों को आईआईटी सहित अन्य इंजीनियरिंग संस्थानों में नामांकन हेतु मगध सुपर-30 की प्रवेश परीक्षा रविवार को शहर के दो परीक्षा केन्द्रों पर हुई। दोनों केन्द्र पर 1244 परीक्षार्थी शामिल हुए। परीक्षा का निरीक्षण स्वयं मगध सुपर-30 के सर्वेसर्वा आईपीएस अधिकारी अभयानंद ने किया। पटना के सुपर-30 में मिली सफलता के बाद मगध सुपर-30 की स्थापना की गयी है। जिसकी पहली प्रवेश परीक्षा क्रेन मेमोरियल स्कूल और मिर्जा गालिब कालेज में हुई। क्रेन में 1182 और मिर्जा गालिब कालेज में 62 प्रतिभागी प्रवेश परीक्षा में शामिल हुए। इन प्रतिभागियों के परीक्षाफल के प्रकाशन उपरांत नामांकन लिया जायेगा। इसके लिए स्थान और विद्वान शिक्षकों का चयन कर लिया गया है। परीक्षा का निरीक्षण करने आये आईपीएस अधिकारी अभयानंद ने प्रवेश परीक्षा केन्द्र के व्यवस्थापकों को बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि मगध सुपर-30 की सफलता के लिए वे आशान्वित हैं और उम्मीद है कि चयन होने वाले छात्र-छात्राएं मगध का नाम रौशन करेंगे। उन्होंने शिक्षादान के लिए आगे आने वाले बृजबिहारी शर्मा, प्रमोद कुमार सिन्हा, वशिष्ठ नारायण सिंह एवं अन्य शिक्षकों के साथ बैठक की। बैठक में शिक्षकों को भरोसा दिलाया कि वे समय-समय पर आकर स्वयं बच्चों का मार्ग दर्शन करेंगे। प्रवेश परीक्षा के बाद श्री अभयानंद शहर के विभिन्न वर्गो के बुद्धिजीवियों के साथ डालमिया सदन में मुलाकात की। जहां सेंट्रल बिहार चैम्बर आफ कामर्स, आईएमए, होटल एसोसिएशन, अधिवक्तागण और मीडिया पर्सन भी मौजूद थे। मौजूद बुद्धिजीवियों को उन्होंने गया में इस पुनीत कार्य में सहयोग करने के लिए सबको धन्यवाद दिया।

एकजुटता से संभव होगा असंभव कार्य : अभ्यानंद

बिहारशरीफ सुपर 30 के संस्थापक बिहार के सहायक महानिदेशक (बीएमपी) अभ्यानंद ने कहा कि कोई भी आदमी अपने आपमें पूर्ण नहीं है। जब सब लोग एकजुट होकर कोई भी असंभव सा दिखने वाला कार्य करेगे तो वह संभव हो जायेगा। श्री अभ्यानंद रविवार को स्थानीय कचहरी रोड स्थित आर.पी.एस. पब्लिक स्कूल में सुपर 30 की स्थापना एवं कैरियर काउंसिलिंग समारोह को संबोधित कर रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि मानव जाति को शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य और आवास की जरूरत होती है, जिसमें शिक्षा महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है। उन्होंने शिक्षित समाज की परिकल्पना करके ही सुपर 30 का गठन किया है और संस्था बेहतर परिणाम देने में जुटी है। उन्होंने कहा कि सुपर 30 के माध्यम से बच्चों की प्रतिभा को तो मुकाम दिया ही जा रहा है, इसके माध्यम से गरीबी उन्मूलन की दिशा में भी काम हो रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि विद्यार्थियों की संख्या एवं भव्य बिल्डिंग से कोई शिक्षण संस्थान अच्छा नहीं हो सकता। जरूरत है विद्यालयों के बच्चों में प्रतिभा एवं आत्मबल का होना। उन्होंने कहा कि बेहतर शिक्षा से ही उपलब्धियां पायी जा सकती हैं। श्री अभ्यानंद ने कार्यक्रम की समाप्ति के बाद विद्यालय परिसर में स्कूली छात्रों के सवालों के जवाब दिये और उन्होंने सभी बच्चों में छुपी प्रतिभा को परखा। कार्यक्रम को नालंदा के आरक्षी अधीक्षक विनीत विनायक ने संबोधित करते हुए सहायक महानिदेशक के प्रयास की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि सुपर 30 के माध्यम से छिपी प्रतिभाएं सामने आ सकेंगी। कार्यक्रम को पूर्व शिक्षा राज्यमंत्री सुरेन्द्र प्रसाद तरुण, आर.पी.एस. स्कूल के निदेशक अरविंद कुमार, आर.यू. चन्द्रा, डा. शिवनारायण प्रसाद, भरत कश्यप, नन्द किशोर प्रसाद, संजय कुमार, डा. अशोक कुमार, जितेन्द्र कुमार, रणजीत कुमार, रामाशीष, रणविजय, मो. मुमताज, अरशद अस्थानवी, सोगरा कालेज के प्राचार्य के अलावा कई लोगों ने संबोधित किया।

Abhayanand guided Rahmani Super 30 conducts its first entrance test .

Patna: Rahmani 30, the recently launched coaching institute by Rahmani Foundation of Munger to provide Muslim meritorious but poor students with free coaching, besides free lodging and food, for preparation of IIT-JEE, conducted its admission test on 20th July.
The entrance test was held in 13 districts in the state including Patna, Gaya, Munger, Kishanganj, Katihar and Muzaffarpur. A total of 2,300 students appeared in the entrance test. The management of the institute will select 60 students on the basis of their performance in the written test and finally 30 students will be shortlisted after their screening test. Result of the entrance test will be declared shortly.
Maulana Syed Mohammad Wali Rahmani, Sajjada Nashin, Khankah Rahmani of Munger, and Abhyanand, Additional Director General, Bihar Military Police, who is also administrator of this coaching centre, visited the examination centre at Patna Muslim High School. Abhyanand expressed his happiness on appearance of students in large number in the entrance test.
TwoCircles.net spoke to Abhyanand on his active participation in this coaching. Asked how he will coach students for IIT-JEE he said: “We will finish teaching part latest by December and after that, rigorous test will be held continuously to make them perfect and confident and also to eliminate their fear, if any, about IIT examination. We will keep all of them together so that they can share and solve their subject problems among themselves. They will be competitor and collaborator of each other and this is the best way to explore talents.”
To a question about his expectation from the very first batch of Rahmani 30 that is going to face IIT-JEE, he said that on the basis of his six years of experience of 'Super30' coaching institute he expects selection of all 30 students.
“I never felt any burden or disturbance in discharging my official responsibilities along with these curricular work", said Abhyanand. “I hail from Bihar and want to do something extraordinary for the society that has decided to initiate work like this, Abhyanad told TwoCircles.net when asked what motivated him to serve for the educationally backward community.
Not very big infrastructure and many books are needed to compete for IIT-JEE. Word picture on mind is essential instead of using blackboard etc. Collective effort is essential for success and this is the concept of this coaching. Teachers are friends, guides and motivators for students, he said.
The questions asked in this entrance test were logical and standard. They covered all parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Questions of Mathematics were very tough but were up to the standard of IIT-JEE, Adil Rasheed and Abdur Razzaque who appeared in the test to seek admission in the Rahmani 30 coaching centre, told TwoCircles.net.

एक अस्पताल दिल से। न कोई सरकारी मदद और न कोई ग्रांट की व्यवस्था, एक शख्स बस दिल से लग गया तो वैसे लोग भी मिलते गये, कारवां बढ़ता गया। एक उपेक्षित अस्पताल इस तरह अब आधुनिक नर्सिग होम की शक्ल में आ चुका है। यहां अल्ट्रासाउंड व एक्स-रे से लेकर अत्याधुनिक ओटी भी है। इसे सुंदर और सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए जवान अपने परिजनों की स्मृति में रिसेप्शन पर टीवी व एक्वागार्ड लगवा रहे हैं। राजधानी के समीप फुलवारीशरीफ में बीएमपी-5 के परिसर में स्थापित यह अस्पताल अब नए लुक में है। झाड़ू देने वाले बुजुर्ग गणेश राम ने कभी सपने में भी नहीं सोचा था कि उनके हाथों कभी किसी अस्पताल का उद्घाटन भी होगा, पर यह सच हुआ। माह भर के भीतर रिटायर होने वाले गणेश राम ने अस्पताल के नये स्वरूप का उद्घाटन किया है। उन्होंने सोमवार को बीएमपी कमांड हास्पिटल को एक दर्जन बटालियन के जवानों की सेवा में समर्पित कर दिया। 13 पुरुष और चार महिला बेड वाले इस अस्पताल की सज्जा अब एक नर्सिग होम से कम नहीं है। अब इसका अतीत जानिये- यह वही अस्पताल है, जहां देर शाम लोग फटकते तक नहीं थे। वहां कुत्ते बड़ी संख्या में दरवाजे के पास ही रहते थे। अस्पताल का भवन था और पटना में रहने को ख्वाहिशमंद चार चिकित्सक भी यहां पदस्थापित थे पर इलाज कम और फर्जी सर्टिफिकेट बनाने का काम ज्यादा होता था। सिपाहियों के लिए सिक लीव यानी बीमारी की छुट्टी के लिए सर्टिफिकेट बनाने के अलावा यहां कुछ खास नहीं होता था। बीएमपी के एडीजी अभयानंद ने बताया कि जब वह यहां पहुंचे तो तय किया कि जवानों के इलाज की कुछ व्यवस्था करें। इसी क्रम में उन्होंने बीएमपी जवानों के एसोसिएशन के पदाधिकारियों से बात की। वे अस्पताल के नाम पर तैयार हो गए। तय हो गया कि एक-एक बटालियन से पचास-पचास हजार रुपए तो चंदे के रूप में आएंगे। इस तरह से बारह बटालियन के हिसाब से छह लाख का इंतजाम पंद्रह दिनों के भीतर हो गया। इस पैसे को लेकर हमें अस्पताल शुरू करना था सो हम उन लोगों के पास गए जो अस्पताल के क्षेत्र में अनुभव रखते हैं। लोगों में सहयोग की भावना क्या है, इसका अंदाजा सिर्फ इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि लायंस क्लब आफ फेमिना की महिलाएं इस बात को आगे आ गई कि वह अस्पताल के जर्जर हो चुके बेड को ठीक कराकर उनके लिए गद्दे वाले बिस्तर की व्यवस्था कर देंगी। इसके बाद लायंस क्लब आफ पटना फेवरिट को जब यह पता चला कि गैर सरकारी सहयोग से अस्पताल बनाया जा रहा है, तो उन्होंने अपनी ओर से अल्ट्रासाउंड की व्यवस्था कर दी। इसके बाद रुबन मेमोरियल अस्पताल ने बीएमपी कमांड अस्पताल को एक्स-रे मशीन गिफ्ट कर दी। इसके बाद स्टेट बैंक के स्थानीय मुख्यालय के अधिकारी आगे आ गए। दरअसल बीएमपी के जवानों को वेतन स्टेट बैंक से ही मिलता है। स्टेट बैंक ने अपने पैसे से अस्पताल के ओटी को नया शक्ल दे दिया। इस तरह सहयोग का कारवां बढ़ता गया। एक उपेक्षित अस्पताल अत्याधुनिक उपकरणों और वातानुकूलित ओटी से लैस हो गया। एडीजी ने बताया कि अपने चंदे के पैसे से हमलोगों ने अस्पताल के पैथालाजी विभाग के लिए उपकरण व फ्रिज खरीद लिए। अस्पताल नये रूप में शुरू हो गया। यहां बाजार से आधी से भी कम दर पर सिपाहियों को पैथालाजिकल जांच की सुविधा होगी। पूरी तरह से मोर्बोनाइट फर्श और ग्रेनाइट के खंभे वाले इस साफ-सुथरे हास्पिटल में अब सिर्फ एंबुलेंस की कमी है। बीएमपी के पास चार बटालियनों में एंबुलेंस हैं। एक-एक दिन के लिए उसे यहां लाने की योजना पर काम हो रहा है। अस्पताल में अपनी दवाई की दुकान भी हो, इसकी व्यवस्था भी कर ली गई। सरकार से लाइसेंस लेकर अपनी आउटलेट भी शुरू कर दी गई है। अभयानंद के मुताबिक अस्पताल के संचालन के लिए जवानों का एक ट्रस्ट बना दिया जाएगा और वही ट्रस्ट इस अस्पताल को चलाएगा। मामूली शुल्क पर इलाज और जांच की व्यवस्था रहेगी। हर साल ट्रस्ट का चुनाव होगा। अस्पताल को लेकर जवानों में इतना उत्साह है कि वे अपने परिजनों की स्मृति में रिसेप्शन पर टीवी व एक्वेरियम आदि लगवा रहे हैं। बाहर के विशेषज्ञ डाक्टरों की पेड-सर्विस भी शुरू किए जाने की योजना है।

The need of the hour is to disseminate the processed knowledge to the coming generation so that they can digest it and achieve the goal. Just having computer would not work; there is a need of a man to operate it. These were the words expressed by Abhayanand, Additional Director General of Police, while speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of the inauguration of Information and Facilitation Centre of Bihar Rabita Committee, a social organization, at Deep Ganga Complex, opposite to Khuda Bakhsh Library, on Monday.The man, who along with Anand, virtually became synonym to Super-30, was humble eough to share his experiment in the social laboratory of the state. “It was just an experiment which we started six years back. I promise you to do whatever I have learnt in this period. I do not claim that this was the best method, but it was one of the ways to contribute and pay back to the society,” he said.Regarding his interaction with the Muslim community he said that till sometimes back it was only as police officer. But, of late, he got an opportunity to see the other face of the community. “I got answer to several unanswered questions now,” he added.Last year four boys of the community cracked prestigious IIT because of these efforts. He hoped to see some more boys succeeding in the future.Abhayanand, who was earlier this month selected as one of the “50 Pioneers of Change” by India Today, concluded his speech by wishing the Bihar Rabita Committee all the best.Earlier, Maulana Nizamuddin, Amir-e-Shariat, Phulwarisharif, inaugurated the Information Centre, which according to the acting working president of Rabita, Fazle Rab, would cater to the need of the students.Eminent surgeon Dr Ahmad Abdul Hai, Secretary Bihar Rabita Committee, Afzal Husain, directors of International School, Farhat Hasan, Al-Hira Public School (Shahganj), Dr Nazir Ahmad, and Oxfame, Yaqub Ashrafi, were prominent among those present on the occasion.

ADGP Abhyanand’s vision: a hospital for Bihar Military Police, planned and funded by the cops themselves

Patna, June 20: A sweeper with the Bihar Military Police (BMP), Ganesh Ram had never dreamt that he would inaugurate the BMP Command Hospital—funded and planned almost entirely by 12 BMP battalion—on June 16, while senior police officers clapped for him.
His role at the function had great symbolic value: the hospital is the brainchild of BMP Additional Director General of Police Abhyanand who founded the ambitious Super-30 programme, an educational ‘experiment’ under the Ramanujan School of Mathematics, which trained 30 economically disadvantaged but academically gifted students for the IIT exams each year.
In six years, it produced 150 IITians, and in 2008, all 30 students made it to the top institute. While Super-30 wound to a close this year, Abhyanand hasn’t stalled his mission. Speaking to The Indian Express, he explained, “On getting 100 per cent results, I decided to take the concept to other social fields.”
This time around, the top cop’s goal was to get his constabulary to “collaborate and synergise” to develop a healthcare centre for themselves without relying on government support. “The government-run hospital was already in place, but had been lying almost defunct for years. I involved 12 BMP battalions to stand up for a healthy cause,” said Abhyanand, adding that each battalion contributed Rs 50,000 each from its employees’ amenity fund.
Ultrasound and X-ray machines as well as surgical equipment were contributed by organisations such as the Lions Club and Ruban Memorial Hospital. Although the hospital—now worth more than a crore—had an existing staff of four doctors, several others from private hospitals offered their assistance for the “cause of the constabulary.” While only the OPD functioned, albeit sluggishly, earlier, the centre now has in-patient facilities with 13 beds and a fully equipped air-conditioned operation theatre. It will now serve 16,000 BMP families.
Upendra Prasad Singh of the Bihar Police Association said, “Our emotional contribution to refurbishing the hospital was result of our ADGP’s vision. It is very satisfying to witness the results of our combined efforts.”
Sweeper Ganesh Ram, the man of the moment at the hospital’s opening, said: “I would retire later this month and but will never forget the highest honour BMP has given to a man at its lowest rung.”

Patna: The Rahmani Foundation of Munger organised a function in Patna on 10th June to facilitate successful Muslim students of Super 30, a premier institute which prepares 30 meritorious students every year for IIT JEE (Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination).
Seven Muslim students have cracked IIT JEE 2008 entrance exams. At the function the Rahmani Foundation announced to open a new Super-30 for Muslim students only.

It was in 2003 that Anand Kumar, a local Math wizard, along with state Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Abhayanand, floated the concept of 'Super 30'. Thirty promising, albeit poor, IIT aspirants were selected and coached rigorously for eight months ahead of the IIT JEE in 2003. Eighteen of them cracked the test that year. In 2004, 22 of the 30 came out with flying colours. The number of successful candidates increased to 26 in 2005, 28 in 2006, 30 in 2007 and again 30 in 2008.
Abhyanand is said to be the man behind several reforms in the police department, which improved the law and order situation in the state under the Nitish Kumar Government. The speedy trial drive and the idea of constituting a Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) Force by recruiting retired Army jawans on contract were also his brainchild.
The Rahmani Foundation has decided to open the institute under the guidance of Abhyanand, who teaches Physics in Super-30.
Speaking at the function ADG Abhyanand admitted that Muslims are educationally backward. “I am ready to serve new Super-30 specially meant for Muslims. The management can use me as a teacher, administrator or motivator,” said the ADG. He further said that Maulana Wali Rahmani contacted him and proposed this idea. I promised Maulana to give my full support to it but the condition is that there should be no compromise with the merit of students,” said Abhyanad while addressing the function. He stressed to keep the students at one place in groups so that they can discuss their problems of subjects in group and can find out their solution themselves.

Elaborating on what motivated him to accept Maulana Rahmani’s offer to serve the Muslim community, he said that when he used to go to remote places of Gaya to raid some places, he saw Muslims in very pathetic condition. Their social, economic and educational backwardness compelled him to do so, he said.
“We will discuss the methodology of teaching among those who have promised to teach at this institute. We are trying to increase Muslim participation in the field of education especially in technical fields,” Abhyanand said.
When in a brief press conference TwoCircles.net asked him how he will manage the students of different socio-economic background, he said that on the basis of experience of 6 years he thinks there will be no problem to handle those students. Social diversity hardly leaves any influence on the students. They have only one aim: to compete.
He also requested the Muslim students of Super 30 who have got selected this year to contribute for the proposed institute in their vacations. Abhyanad, who is also a Physics teacher at Super 30, added that if this institute runs honestly on the pattern of Super 30 then we will see 30 Muslim IIT JEE qualified students next year on this stage instead of 4 today.
Addressing the function Professor Ashfaque Karim, Managing director of Katihar Medical College and Hospital, said Abhyanad is not an individual, rather he is an organisation. It is the result of his devotion that we are seeing students in bulk qualifying IIT JEE.
